| Summary Purpose SCCLA is an authorized MCLE provider. As part of our commitment to develop and improve the legal skills of our members, SCCLA conducts a two-day “Virtual Reality” Trial Skills Workshop biannually. The program includes lectures and demonstrations by seasoned trial attorneys and judges followed by mock trials in which the participants utilize the skills and techniques learned through the program. SCCLA also regularly holds or co-sponsors seminars on legal issues and topics of interest to our members. Past topics have included intellectual property, arbitration/mediation, bankruptcy and immigration. Finally, in the past SCCLA has held seminars on critical skills on the practice of law including image projection, demolishing stereotypes and stress management and use of language interpreters.
