I remember the days SCCLA had less than $350 in its bank account. The “good old days.” My most vivid memories are of George Lee joking about how he practiced law by using his notary public stamp and his being a real role model for me as a young lawyer. I remember my first SCCLA Installation Dinner in which 44 people attended at the Golden Palace Restaurant. To say the least, our organization and dinner have grown almost as much as a newly issued dot-.com stock. We owe a great deal to the founders of SCCLA, Nowland Hong, Ron Low, Harry Mock, George Lee and others who had the courage, foresight, wisdom and initiative to establish an organization which continues to have relevance and purpose today. I am still proud to be a member of SCCLA. |
