Ken served as SCCLA President in 1999-2000. During Ken's year in office, the SCCLA Board planned a special 25th Anniversary Dinner, along with a commemorative booklet featuring remembrances and vintage photographs. During that same year, Ken also served as Co-Chair for the NAPABA National Convention Installation Dinner that featured a keynote address by then Presidential candidate Al Gore.
Ken attended Loyola Law School where he served as Treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, was an Articles Editor for the Law Review, and was a member of a study group that consumed a disproportionate amount of donuts compared to number of pages read.
Ken is a Deputy City Attorney in the Land Use Department of the Los Angeles City Attorneys Office where he handles a variety of land use litigation, advises planning commissions, and works on affordable housing and coastal development matters. Previously, Ken was in private practice where he specialized in land use, real estate transactions, and community redevelopment.
Ken is serving out a two-year term as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, during which he co-chaired LACBA's Outstanding Jurist Award Committee.
Ken and his wife Audrey live in South Pasadena. In his free time, Ken enjoys playing tennis, reading non-law books, and watching non-law movies. |
